About Us

Hello, my name is Matt Quinn and welcome to Pipeworx.  Pipeworx started out of my home shop several years ago after completing the welding program at Austin Community College.  At the time I was working for SBC Telephone, now known as AT&T, and was running the shop after work.

The shop has steadily grown to what it is today and I now run the shop full time.

In '08 I took 3 months off to attend a metal shaping school in Rapid City, South Dakota at the Hot Rod Institute.  The school helped me expand my abilities into custom metal shaping and hone my skills on tools like the power hammer, shrinker/stretcher and english wheel.  See the Past Projects page for the custom metal work I performed on Chris Parker’s Model A Sedan.

I enjoy building all types of cars and motorcycles but my passion lies with hot rods and motorcycles of the 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s.

Thank you for visiting the site and I hope you enjoy your time here.  Feel to drop me a line sometime and schedule a time to come visit the new shop.

Take it easy.  Matt
