CNC Machined Perfection
Monday, December 5, 2011 at 1:00PM Like it or not most motorcycles manufactured in this day and time have all sorts of modern conveniences like anti-lock brakes (ABS), belt drives and fuel injection. While these items improve reliability and safety they make customization something that has to be planned, sometimes extensively. One of the most extensive modifications that can be done is replacing your factory gas tank that has an internal fuel injection pump with a custom built alloy, or aluminum, tank. Not only does the new tank need to be shaped and welded but it also needs a flange made to bolt the large and awkward internal fuel injection pump too, a feat in itself. Seeing as we have worked with the fuel injected Triumph Thruxton's in the past by making several custom alloy parts we decided to start producing these alloy tank flanges for other builders and do-it-yourselfers. The flanges are CNC machined from 6061 billet aluminum and fit the in-tank fuel injection pumps with precision. Feel free to contact us with your needs.
